Our LIttle Tadpole
Merrilee and I went to the OBGYN yesterday and the first thing they did was the ultrasound. At first I just wanted to know if the baby was healthy and alive. Then the technician showed us the little fetus and we saw the flutter of the heart. That is when it hit me that little life is mine. It was such a special moment for Merrilee and I. It all became more than a sick and grumpy wife. I am kidding, Merrilee is actually really good to me. Though she is not as nice in her sleep last night she hit me and stole my pillow. Yea I whine about it, but I realize Merrilee has the hardest part. So thanks Merrilee.
They printed out a regular ultra sound and a 4-D one. Hope you can see the baby, it looks like the baby is sucking its thumb if that helps.

Oh my goodness! It does look like your little one is sucking (his/her) thumb! I am so excited for you guys! Ben- you are so good to Mer! I am so glad! I can't wait to meet this little one . . .
Wow, isn't life a miracle? I can't wait to meet this new little grandchild!!!!
That is awesome! Thanks for sharing your miracle with us. I am so excited to meet this new addition.
It is more fun to see ultrasound pictures now, when I saw Kailtyn's I had no clue what anything was, now it is way more clear. How exciting for you guys!
I'm joining in with everyone else in saying I can't wait to meet the little one. I've actually been looking forward to this day since Ben was a teenager and it became obvious to me and everyone who had a kid that Ben was going to be a great dad someday. I am so happy for you both. So, so ,soooooooooooo happy!!!!
It's been so long since you post, I'm worried your little "tadpole" may be a frog by now.
